Having spent many years in the military sleeping on an array of mats, both issued or purchased out-of-pocket for use in the most extreme of conditions, I can say with complete honesty that I’ve never had one that is as lightweight as this; not only does it roll or fold up into nothing, but it also accommodates my 6’4″ frame. Whilst I no longer need a sleeping mat that can stand up to the rigour of field ops, this works perfectly when used in a tent or sandwiched between my sleeping bag and bivi bag for sleeping under a basha – it keeps the ground from drawing your body heat away and it inflates in just a few breaths. Again, the best feature of this is the ultra-lightweight, minimal packing dimensions (it’ll squeeze into any gap in your rucksack) making it perfect for backpacking or even sunbathing/picnics, etc.

I have a few sleeping pads. And, I have a Thermarest Pro and a Thermarest Z-Sol Light. I also have this pad.

I have taken all 3 on car camping trips and backpacking trips. The Thermarest Pro is bulky and heavy, the Z-Sol light is mighty uncomfortable, but this pad… is easily my favourite.

It is both lighter and more comfortable than the Thermarest pro, and a mere FRACTION of the price. It’s extra durable and compacts down so small it’s like it’s not even in the pack. I keep one stored in my BoB/SHTF bag at all times.

It takes very few breaths to blow up, and 0 times to break down. My girlfriend hates using the Thermarest and won’t go near the Z-Sole. She steals this from me all the time.

This is the best sleeping mat hands down.

This pad is lightweight, packs down to the size of a 16oz water bottle, and is much more comfortable than my last pad that was thicker and heavier. My old pad was very noisy whenever I would move on it; this one is pretty quiet and I was never awakened when I shifted in my sleep. It takes less than 20 breaths for me to inflate and deflate quickly and easily. I’m 180 lbs, a side sleeper, and had no issues bottoming out on the pad (you may bottom out when sitting, but with weight distributed for sleeping it wasn’t an issue). It felt as comfortable as pads costing over $100 that I tested at the camping store. Used it on a 4-night bicycle tour and was extremely satisfied.
